Accounting students at UT Dallas may enjoy participation in unique organizations. The accounting organization's basic objectives are to provide students with information that will enable them to formulate sound career decisions, assist in obtaining specific qualities that will enhance their abilities to generate job offers and enhance the relationships between accounting students and prospective employers.
Beta Alpha Psi
Beta Alpha Psi is a national scholastic and professional fraternity for financial information students and professionals. The primary objective of the fraternity is to encourage and recognize scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems, providing opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social and public responsibility.
Students may apply for membership during the first six weeks of any semester, and new members are initiated in the fall and spring. Beta Alpha Psi offers many events throughout the year to meet the organization's objectives.
