- I am only going to use my laptop; do I still need a podium password?
Yes, a podium password will allow you to turn on the system.
- Can I use a secondary podium in my classroom?
No, each classroom can only activate the equipment to one podium at a time.
- If the touch panel is black when I came in the classroom, what should I do?
Touch the panel a couple of times and the password screen should come up.
- If I put in the password and chose the document camera but it still doesn't work, what happened?
There are no functions being sent to the projector. Turn off the podium equipment and start over.
- What if my laptop network doesn't work?
Check to make sure that the yellow cable is firmly connected to your laptop. Hit F5 to refresh. If there is still no internet access, call the computer department at 2911 for further instructions.
- How do I get the document camera to become clear?
Press the auto focus and choose the upper light.
- Can I use my transparencies on the document camera?
Yes, but you will need to put a white sheet of paper under the transparency.
- What if I can't get my Laptop to appear on the screen?
Make sure the projector is on, hold down the Function (Fn) key, on the lower left and press the F8 key (together). You may have to do this more than once. For some computers you may have to press F5 instead of F8.
- What if the system is not responding to any commands?
If you have tried everything and the system still does not respond to any commands, try shutting the system OFF and turn it back ON again. Make sure you choose whether the podium is on the left or right side of the class. (Some rooms MAY NOT have this option.)
- What if the podium microphone does not work?
Choose the audio option on the control panel and make sure it is not on mute and adjust the volume accordingly.
- What if after turning the system on, there is no image on the screen?
Go back to the main screen and wait for the system to count down and says "PROJECTOR READY" and then try operating the system once again.
- What if I need the password to operate the system?
